Test of Honour: A look back at 2017
As 2017 has come to a close, we wanted to bring back some memories of the year for our award-winning Test of Honour.
This was a new game system for us, releasing early 2017. It sold out faster than expected and the demand was unprecedented. As the year has gone on, we’ve released several expansions such as the highly anticipated Ninja of Iga and Ronin. We even gained the award for Best New Game 2017, voted for by the readership of the acclaimed Wargames Illustrated!
The Test of Honour community has been growing fast with many fantastic collections being built. We cannot wait to see what you do in 2018! Here is what we released for Test of Honour in 2017…
The base game
Ready your Ashigaru and don your armour, within the basic game set you’ll get everything you need to play this fast-paced Samurai action game.
The Ninja of Iga
Possibly one of best sets of 2017, envisioned by Andy Hobday (with much arm twisting) and sculpted by Georgio Bassini these Seven Ninja help you bring to life the mythical Ninja warrior…
And with a little help from the fantastic people at Sarissa Precision the samurai sword master can take these assassins on singlehandedly at the sacred Dojo!
Bandits and Brigands
Vying closely for the top spot came the Bandits and Brigands, included in this set (the same as the Ninja) are the Darkness and Deceit expansion rules introducing thematic extras such as night fighting!
Ronin expansion
The Ronin, wandering the shattered lands of feudal Japan with these masterless samurai. This set along with all the others give you a limitless choice of ways to create your warband featuring metal commanders and metalheads to adapt the clean and detailed plastics to your own theme…
