SLA Industries: Shiver Elite

Shiver Elite

  • Shivers are the basic Policeman come Militia of SLA Industries. They are highly visible, being seen wherever SLA want to send a message or be seen to be keeping the peace. They are equipped according to a strict budgetary requirement and trained following the same ethos.
  • Within the Shivers, there are a Highly Trained and well Equipped force – known as the Shiver Elite. These are the Shiver Equivalent of SWAT Teams and are called upon when the situation demands better protection, more firepower and more skill than the regular Street Shivers can offer.

  • These are our newest Resin Patrol, due for release later this month – the Shiver Elite come with a number of build options and spares, spares that can be used with pretty much any other Model in HARD armour such as Rooker, the Frothers, Topper, McNultie..
  • In highly detailed resin, these 32mm miniatures are gorgeous and pack a real punch on the tabletop.

The line up is;

Female Sgt – although she comes with several options we have given her a Std Issue Shiver Shotgun. She is not wearing her helmet – this is very much against regulations, but we suspect that she has heard that the 9th are Operating in the area and that Feaney may be leading them.. yes, he is technically an enemy of SLA, but what a guy..

The next 3 Troopers also come with a variety of loadouts, but i like the simplicity of the Shotgun and Battle Picks ; suits the assault ethos of the Shiver Elite nicely and that kneeling guy looks nails! I’ve opted to give 1 of them a GA50 Finisher just in case i need a bit more cover fire! However, its the next Trooper is my firm favourite..

The Support weapon Trooper with Reaper cannon is a lovely miniature – the ammo feed leads back round to an expanded ammo pack on his back. You can really imagine this Trooper laying down heavy fire in every direction!

The Squad also, as we’ve mentioned, comes with a stack of extra weapons and bits – bits that you can do very cool conversions with on the rest of your miniatures, kit bashes like these;

This Frother is clearly down on his luck.. gone is his trusty Claymore. Instead he is relying on the robut-yet-cheap Battle Pick and the standard issue FEN 603. I suspect he has been spending rather a few too many of his Creds down at the Pit instead of replacing his kit..

This fella though, has a little bit more firepower! He has a heavy vibro blade, personalised after a traditional broadsword, twinned with a Customised BLA646 Buzzsaw SMG Pistol – he has given it an integral support for extra stability. His helmet is non standard though, so he’s either lost the original or is unable to afford anything better as of yet.

This level of customisation is a staple of the SLA RPG, and we are very much looking forward to carrying it into the CS1 Skirmish Wargame. After the release of the Main Rulebook, later this year, we will be revisiting the SLA Ops in detail – and intend to publish an Ops Handbook which will give you massive leeway in creating your own Characters for the Wargame.

For now, the Beta test Stat cards for both the Shiver Elite and Frothers are not far off, and the equipment cards rules will allow you to field the 2 kit bashed characters shown above as variants on the standard Frother & Shiver Elite. Please pop over to the Beta page, download the rules and have a go! We appreciate all the feedback we receive;
