Ninja All-Stars: Layout Almost Complete! Ijin Spotlight!

We are about a week out from completing all layout for the game! Which is perfect timing, since China is also nearing completion on the clan box and ronin molds. Soon will be the “push print” time, followed by the magical “hurry-hurry” dance.

But before then, we need one very important thing from you—

FINALIZE YOUR PLEDGES

The pledge manager will go offline on August 4th. We need you to finalize your orders and pay your shipping costs, so that we can get your product to you!

If you encounter any problems please contact [email protected].

If you have been e-mailing us and not receiving a response, it is likely due to the fact that you are attempting to contact us by replying to a past email chain for a closed ticket, instead of sending us a new email for your new question.

When you have a new inquiry, don’t keep replying to an old ticket, please send a new email!

To help with this going forward, our system will now notify you when your ticket has be closed, so that you absolutely know when you need to send a new email instead of responding in an existing chain.

Our customer service ninja is working fulltime to make sure we keep up with your email inquiries, and we are currently responding within approximately 2-3 business days on all new emails.

CLAN IJIN

Lead Designer Dave Freeman brings us an overview for aspiring Ijin Chunin. (With quite the title.)

How do you get the most out of the void badasses?

The Ijin have access to many powerful and tactical toys to ruin the day of the opposing team. Despite their focus on attack power the Ijin are a pretty well rounded team able to play defense almost as well as they play offense. Let’s run down the basic options.

Chunin: The Ijin Chunin has the fairly standard stat line for an offensive leaning Chunin. Average movement, good attack, and decent defense. Both of the Chunin’s abilities are offensive so the choice is about what kind of team do you want to build. Do you want a chunin powerhouse who leads from the front with hastey goodness? Or would you rather command your team as an iron fisted tyrant spreading the attack power around?

Kunoichi: The Ijin Kunoichi can be the centerpiece of an Ijin team. With 2-3 of them you can build a fast and tricksy team that hits very hard when able to maximize back strikes and assists. Alternatively, adding one or two Kunoichi to your line up can add a fast capable striker that is also useful for playing objective scenarios.

Yajiri: While the Ijin crossbows aren’t Stealthy they pack quite a punch and have good range. With a 2 defense the Ijin Yajiri is one of the most hardy Yajiri available in the game. While Ijin Kaiken are mostly going to be a more attractive choice than the Yajiri, they are a very solid support choice and can help deal with pesky fast movers that will dance around your ninja.

Oni: The Ijin Oni is a little slow but hits like a freight train on the offensive. The Ijin Oni’s high attack combined with Ijin’s Horns can be used as a battering ram to break apart defensive formations. The trick is to position the Oni so that it is hard for your opponent to capitalize on the Oni’s fairly low defense. While Resilient will help keep the big guy in play it only has a 1 in 6 chance of working so be careful about relying on it too much.

Madoushi: The Ijin Madoushi, like most, sports the stat line of the clan’s Kaiken. This makes them a very capable fighter. Coupled with their mysitcal abilities I would probably always start with at least one on your team. If you took Soul capture for your Chunin then I would take Blood Frenzy for your Madoushi so you can spread more Haste around and have more of your guys keep up with your Chunin. If you took Tyrant for your Chunin then I would definitely take Skull Hex for your Madoushi as combining these two abilities can help mitigate the drawback of Tyrant.

When selecting Heroes, Yobuko fits well into the “Haste” strategy as it will allow you to get more out of this powerful figure. While Bomechan fits well in either strategy, the “debuff” route plays to her Whirlwind attack by softening up the area that she plans to spin through.
