We’re back with another monthly newsletter to let you all know the latest happenings this side of the Breach. The annual con season is ramping up and Wyrd will be coming in full force at Origins in just a few short weeks. The awesome Asian Ruins Wyrdscape bases that you can see in the image above is just a sample of what we’ll have to offer. We’re hoping to see you there!
This month’s newsletter covers the Through the Breach campaign wrapping up, the upcoming Total Testosterone painting competition, the Other Side’s Backerkit, the Darkness Comes Rattling expansion (War of the Spirits), and some of our upcoming releases.
As a thank you to our community, we released the Darkness Comes Rattling expansion, War of the Spirits, for free last month. We’re super proud of how the quest system, new characters, and improved endgame all turned out and hope you all enjoy playing it as much as we enjoyed making it.
You can already download the rulebook, cards, and characters on our website. If you’re interested in the print-on-demand version, then you’ll be happy to know that the wait is over! We’re so close to putting those Fireteams down onto the table and duking it out Earthside. That’s right, we’re wrapping up The Other Side, which means that there’s only a little bit of time left to make those last minute orders on the Backerkit.
If you still haven’t decided on which Allegiance (or Allegiances) you want to represent, head over to the Backerkit to finalize your order. That means that if you didn’t get a chance to back the Other Side on Kickstarter, this is your last opportunity before it goes to retail!
The Through the Breach global campaign event, the Obsidian Gate, is nearing its end. A lot has happened since players started the first act, but we won’t go into spoiler territory in case your group hasn’t taken the plunge just yet. There’s still some time!
Fatemasters: if you want to make sure that your game sessions count, make sure to get in your reports to us by June 11th. With your help, we’ll see how the global campaign impacts the Other Side very soon!
We at Wyrd love to see what our community is capable of with a paintbrush. The submissions to Creature Feature gave us the creeps (in a good way). With every one of our competitions over the years, you have all continued to impress us more and more. This year is no exception.
Starting June 4th (and ending June 24th), our painting competition, Total Testosterone, will be returning in the manliest of fashion. It’s time to twirl those mustaches and flex those pecks once again because only the model with the most testosterone will walk out as the victor.

We have a free ezine available, Wyrd Chronicles. The Chronicles have stories, hobby articles, RPG adventures, and more! Be sure to check out this magazine, currently available on DriveThruRPG.
Most Mondays, we release a look at something upcoming in our Monday Preview. These are a great opportunity to see what Wyrd is working on and what’s coming down the pipeline. We have a lot of things to show off, so check back every Monday!
On Fridays, we try to show off previews for the upcoming The Other Side miniatures game.
Every other Thursday, we release a free podcast called the Tales of Malifaux as part of our Breachside Broadcast. This podcast goes through the Malifaux fiction one story at a time, starting all the way back to the first book in the first edition. It’s a great way to catch up on our old stories or go through them again.
The con season has arrived. Origins is near and GenCon is not far away. If you’re willing to give us a hand, we’re still looking for volunteers for Origins and GenCon.
